Purpose of Role
We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our recently established Business Architecture and Process Improvement department. The team helps YBS maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of how we operate, by supporting the design of services, activities, processes and change initiatives.
As a Business Improvement Consultant you will provide strategic business analysis, facilitation expertise and Operating Model design support for a range of business improvement activities. The role involves working across the business to shape change initiatives and transformation projects, which improve the experience for our customers, and enhance performance of the Society's processes, activities and services.
Your duties will also include but not be limited to:- Leading visioning workshops, discovery work and other activity throughout the business to drive and support business improvement initiatives and transformation projects, utilising a variety of research, inquiry and group facilitation techniques to establish a clear understanding of business opportunities and change requirements - Collaborating with colleagues throughout the Group Change Function and wider business teams to define outcomes required and scope change initiatives - Completing analysis, insights and documentation that satisfies the needs of change sponsors, and complies with the agreed frameworks and standards - Building and maintaining the YBS Operating Model and Business Architecture artefacts
This is a unique opportunity for an individual who has extensive business analysis experience at a strategic level, coupled with business architecture knowledge and process improvement expertise
If you have:
- Extensive experience of process improvement, change management, and project delivery, and will ideally have been actively involved in adopting Business Architecture and Business Process Management approaches - Wareness of Business Maturity Frameworks (eg EFQM), Business Architecture frameworks (eg TOGAF), Business Process Management (BPM) and organisation design principles, with an ability to incorporate these into analysis and design work - Expert business modelling skills and proficient in the use of BPM tools, including experience of working with industry standard tools and techniques for business analysis and requirements definition (eg BPMN, VISIO, iServer, Oracle SOA and BPM) - Proven expertise in the business discovery and requirements phases of project delivery. Knowledge of good practice project/programme management methods (eg PRINCE, MSP) - Clear understanding of business strategy, business models and operating models and how these translate into practice - The confidence and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business, including experience of presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders to influence business decisions and outcomes - Proven ability to challenge existing working practices and work with others to deliver improvement
