Job Description
Collaboration Architecture
Atos have sparked unprecedented interest in the business with regards to our aspiration to be email free by 2013. Combined with the trend of consumerisation in the market place and increasing clients that are looking to build collaboration into their new ways of working along with seeking innovation within their organisations. The IT Leadership team need to bolster our capability in this area in order to make the most of the interest generated through zero email and further developed with our "Doing more for Less" programme
Collaboration Architect
We are looking for someone who is digital by default, who recognises the potential of social media and the impact of collaboration.
Works with key stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of an organisation's strategy, processes, information, with regards social media and collaboration within the enterprise, and with external stakeholders.
The role of the Collaboration Architect is to take this knowledge and ensure that the business is using collaborative technologies and emerging working practices to enhance communication. The collaboration architect links the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organisation to its social strategy, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organisation will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
Collaboration architects operate across organisational and computing "silos" to drive common approaches. Their goal is to deliver an collaboration that supports the most efficient ways of working whilst meeting the company's strategic business needs.
Job Requirements
Capabilities required
*Abstraction and problem solving skills
*Communication skills, to CxO level (under guidance), comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders
*Experience of Social technologies
*Structured problem solving, including hypothesis based techniques
*Technical thinking, engineering discipline, User Experience, Agile, user centric design
*Systems thinking, including frameworks such as VPEC-T
*Enterprise Architecture techniques, including PEAF and TOGAF
*TI (Technology Infrastructure) and IS (Information Systems) architecture and engineering principles
*Principles of REST and Web based IT, and understanding of the issues of SOA and pre-Web IT
*Human factors, including why people chose to use one IT application over another Marketing, digital communications
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
*Define, design and implement software for Intranet/Social Media
*Develop new ways of working
*Deliver into architecture
*Technical understanding of architecture environments
Key skills
*Understanding of JIVE IBM Collection and social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
*Strong analytical skills
*Strong architecture experience
*Experience of change management (desirable)
